Hey, Patrick here. Normally, I, like most other people in my situation, would apologize for not keeping my journal up to date.

But I won't.

Instead, here's a recap of what's happened since Halloween. It's 11 PM, but I'll try my best to be funny.

-My grades are kicking ass. I can has an A?

-I got accepted into all of the colleges I applyed to... which is just three. But SJSU was one of 'em, for which I am glad.

-Speaking of college, my parents and I talked about dorms. I'll be doing my best to rake in enough dough to pay for room and board, and my parents will do the same. Sounds fair, if you ask me. So right now I'm looking for a senior friend to dorm with.

-Speaking of friends, a friend who I'm keeping anonymous is considering being transgender.

-Speaking of cross-dressing... oh, wait, I've got nothing.

-Thanksgiving: for whatever reason my family and I went to Disneyland. Yeah... Disneyland. On Thanksgiving. The whole park was decked out in X-mas decoration. But for the first time, I went on Space Mountain. SO. MANY. G-FORCES.

-Xmas: My two big presents are a five octave electric keyboard (YES!) and Rockband FTW (for the Wii). And there was much rejoice. I also got the manga version of FLCL from my gf.

-A friend recommended Sonic Unleashed. For the most part, I like it, but at the same time, I can't help but ask...
+How are the missions and "collect 100 rings" levels necessary enough to advance the storyline?
+Why are there more night levels than day levels when the day levels are far superior?
+Why was there so much effort in the graphic detail in cutscenes (which look freaking amazing - especially the intro) when the writing for them is so God-awful?
+Can't I just get to the next level without talking to strangers?

-But seriously, I like the game.

-New Years: Spent it with my sweetheart. ^^

-Tomorrow: heading to Lake Tahoe... or some place around Tahoe. The place ended with "Springs." But there'll be snow. I doubt Miss Hyrule would like it. xP

I just can't decide.

Tomorrow is the trip to Angel Island, a trip my Boy Scout troop takes every year, and is one of my favorite outings. We bike around most of the island and get a nice view of San Francisco. I'm already packed.

But I just can't fully enjoy camping. We make and eat half-assed meals, sleep cold at night, and, being the troop leader, I have to make sure that the bike loading, car assignments, ferry boarding, biking route, movement of camping equipment and bikes, community service, sleeping arrangements, night hike, packing up, and unloading all go smoothly. There's also an English test on Monday.

Stay at home and wallow in my own self-pity and regret, while getting nothing accomplished?

Or go to Angel Island and force my sanity and grades to suffer, while getting even less accomplished?

Anyway, if I'm not replying to your comments tomorrow or Sunday afternoon, you know why.
